Tanner Choate joined Egenberg Trial Lawyers in 2022. From a small town in Acadiana in South Louisiana, Tanner moved to New Orleans in 2019 to pursue his law degree from Tulane University. He earned his J.D. with a certificate in civil law studies in May 2022. While at Tulane, Tanner was a senior and managing editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, the preeminent student-edited Admiralty and Maritime law journal in the nation. He was also a member of the Civil Law Society and the Maritime Law Society. Tanner is licensed to practice law in Louisiana.
Before Tulane, Tanner earned his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, majoring in Strategic Communication. While there, Tanner was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity where he served as recruitment chair, community service chair, and president. He was also a member and Treasurer of Sigma Gamma Mu, the honor society for communication majors. Tanner also served as a competitor for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette personal sales team where he studied negotiation and settlement techniques.
Tanner’s practice includes property damage disputes and personal injury. He enjoys working with individual community members to obtain fair compensation for their injuries and losses. Tanner is a lifelong Louisianan with deep Cajun roots. He enjoys spending time in Louisiana’s unique environment and cultural atmosphere. From hurricanes to 100-year floods, Tanner understands the exceptional circumstances that Louisiana residents endure.
